Modern Slavery Statement
Last updated 19 August 2026
1. Why we publish this
Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 only requires a statement from organisations with an annual turnover of £36 million or more — SalonDo is well below that threshold and isn’t legally required to publish one. We’re doing so anyway, because modern slavery and human trafficking are things every business should take seriously regardless of size, and because we’d rather be upfront about our position than say nothing.
2. Our business
SalonDo is a small software company providing booking and website tools for independent hair, beauty, barbering and nail salons in the UK. We don’t manufacture or source physical goods — our product is entirely digital, built and operated by a small team.
3. Our supply chain
Our supply chain is short and low-risk: we rely on a small number of established technology providers for hosting, payments and email delivery (Vercel, Supabase, Stripe, Resend, and Zoho), each of which publishes its own policies in this area. We don’t use manufacturing, agricultural, or physical-goods supply chains, which are where modern slavery risk is typically highest.
4. Our position
We have zero tolerance for modern slavery and human trafficking, in our own operations and in any organisation we work with. We choose to work with established, reputable providers, and if we ever became aware of a genuine concern involving anyone in our supply chain, we’d act on it — including ending the relationship where appropriate.
5. Where we are today
Being honest about our size: as a very small company with a low-risk supply chain, we don’t currently run formal supplier audits or dedicated staff training on this topic — that level of process isn’t proportionate to our current scale. We’ll revisit that as SalonDo grows, and would rather state our actual current practice plainly than overstate it.
6. Review
We’ll review this statement annually, or sooner if our business changes in a way that affects the above.
